    Gypsum, formed in the Cretaceous era of more than 100 million years ago, is an important mineral resource of nature.

    Historians confirmed that as early as 9,000 BC, humans learned to use gypsum for construction and landscaping. The gypsum was found in the underground frescoes of Catal Huyuk in Asia Minor. 7,000 BC, gypsum as a self-leveling material was used in the construction of the Jericho towers in Israel and Palestine. In 3000 BC, during the reign of Egyptian pharaoh, gypsum plaster was also used to build pyramids.

    In our country, the use of gypsum can be traced back to the Qin Dynasty, gypsum as a mortar was used in the construction of the Great Wall. Gypsum is also a clear fire medicine which is recorded in "Compendium of Materia Medica", "Shen Nong’s Herbal Classic", "open treasure Materia Medica". In everyday life gypsum is also used everywhere, making tofu coagulant, sculpture, art crafts and so on. With the development of technology, the application of gypsum has been expanding, becoming one of the most concerned material.

    Today, energy and environmental issues have become the bottleneck restricting economic development, energy saving and emission reduction has become a global consensus, related to the national sustainable development strategy. In the pursuit of the harmonious development of the economy and the environment, gypsum as a green, low-carbon new material is gradually becoming the mainstream market trend.
